Methodology

What this is. A continuously updated pulse of what Americans want from the federal budget — 55 subcategories across 14 parent categories. Voters answered one question per subcategory: more, same, or less? When they said less, they also said why: Cut it (don't support the program) or Fix it (support it, but it's not delivering value).
